I guess we all have "our ways" and initial expectations. My personality and initial interaction with anyone are a result of my "tight ass" upbringing.
When it comes to MPA's and an initial meeting, I put myself in their position. We all get a feeling for the other persons state of being within seconds of meeting them. If you sense apprehension, I think it best to approach very slowly, carefully. If the MPA is an extrovert and / or a great actress she might attack you, even jump into your arms on coming into the room, or if she sees you have a chubby, start the fun stuff .... that happens.
If she is initially cool and wants to start per the usual, I will go with it all the while having a conversation, that usually starts to lower any tension. I start any touching after she indicates that she wouldn't mind, it is obvious when that happens. Offering them a massage is another way to establish accepted physical interaction, with patience, it can take a potentially tense session to a more "comfortable" and rewarding level for you and her.
