Just a spin on this....there was a bg who worked at Sharkys (uniform and all)...she would during the nite walk up to "No Name Bar" and stay there and chat up customers etc and l presume go with them if bf'd (don't ask me which bar got that).....whan l asked Geir how that worked....he was unsure what was going on.

Yes DD l did take a peek a few times....well more than a few times actually.

this cuts to the heart of the matter, the board appears to be more in danger of becoming clogged by some experienced BM's posting in a way that seems designed to up their 'post count' ( and hence presumably to achieve some elevated status) than by the newcomers rehashing old stuff. Did i notice a post recently from one of the moderators attempting to address this problem?

While it is understandable for the oldtimers to lament the passing of the 'good old days' it misses the point. I would suggest it is in the nature of this type of forum for the same topics to be re-done at fairly regular intervals.

Just because it has been discussed before doesn't mean that the last word has been delivered on the subject ( unless some people believe that their take is so profound that it's simply not worth further discussion), the older BM's may well have deliberated at great length but the newbies are often simply expressing the delight and wonder that a lot of us feel on encountering LOS. i think they have the right to explore such topics for themselves and to learn and grow thru the help of others on the board. In addition new situations/people/TG etc ensure that no topic is truely done with.

The mark of maturity for more experienced BM's isn't to slag off the newbies but to help and encourage them and quite rightly IMHO, those who gain most respect tend to be the ones who try to post in a constructive manner. Usually 555555

Those who are fed up don't need to post or reply to the thread and for BM's who have become jaded perhaps the answer lies elsewhere than blaming the newbie for the state of the board at large. After all, by defination the newbie has just arrived and surely can't be held responsible if the board has deteriorated due to the efforts of the existing BM's.

BTW i don't think it has deteriorated at all - seems health and vibrant to me.

Used to have lots and lots of girls coming from other bars to say hello to me, would buy drinks, sometimes wouldnt go back to their bar and take customers from love bar, form of freelancing really
