I once was staying at a friends house and was left alone. I kicked back for some R&R and was watching a Seinfeld episode. Half way through the TV shut off on its own. I turned it back on and it shut off again, so I thought it must be a relay switch or something like that.
I decided I would go and make something to eat. I turned on the stove, the element heated up but within a few minutes it cooled off and it stopped working altogether. I really didn't think anything of it, grabbed an apple and went off to bed.
The entire night I kept hearing footsteps, whispering and what not. Again no big deal I thought my friends had returned from their night out. I remember looking over at the clock and it was around 12:30 am.
The following morning when I woke up I found no one in the house. About 11 am. my friends come home and tell me they had too much too drink and spent the night a their hosts home. I asked if they have an on going problem with their TV and stove? They both look at me with a dumbfounded look and both reply no never. I left it at that and walked away wondering wtf had just happened?
I have lost contact with the couple so to this day I really have no idea of what happened at their home. It was an older Victorian type of home in the downtown area if that means anything at all.
