Yes they expect more, doesn't mean they get it. The bargaining is all part of the "game" and really it's dangerous not to agree a price before spending the night with her. Can save a lot of problems in the morning. generally if you've paid 1000 ST or 1500 LT you've done ok. 1000 LT you've done really well if she is a looker.

Some people claim to have only paid 500 ST probably trying to look smart, but really that is an insult to the lady who was likely too naive or scared to ask for more....or the claimant unknowingly experienced a katoey mg:

There's also the "face" thing going on all the time which is BIG in Thai culture. You may well have had her stay for 1000 all night but next day at the bar she will tell her "sisters" that you gave her 1500 or 2000. Can cause you problems if you take another girl from the same bar! because they will believe their "sister" and not you :aao:

If 10000 is your budget I would cross Christins off your list. That would take up almost a 1/3rd of your money. Just a 100m up the road at the smaller massage places you'll get 3 ST's for the same money as 1 go in Christins.

Living there certainly is a different story, there are of course other ways to pay be it a shoulder to cry on advise and help on certain matters etc.




As long as he doesn't go over with attitude of not paying fullstop, if he offers money and she refuses I don't see a problem.

Personally I don't feel threatend by younger guys some girls like them others like a bit of maturity and security.

Euuh, I don]t understand everything as meant in English. First at all, like I said, I paid 1000 bath, NOT including the tuk-tuk fare. I give her more then the fare so she would certainly not have to pay part of the money she earned, everything else, how little, is extra.

Don't know what that has to do with age. I know that in Patong the girls try to have more then 1000 bath, but that is not my problem. Kata/Karon girls never ask more, and are happy. She worked in a back soi, off Bangla. In general, 1000 bath is ok, and if she wanted more, she had to ask. I know, some girls do not argue over it, but other ones are harder to convince. THEN it is your choice to take them or not.

I am not a cheap Charlie, but why pay more in Central, as you have the same thing but cheaper in Tesco. As long the girl has the going salary, I think you must not be over generous. Another guy will pay more, another less, at the end she will be happy.

But guys who try the freeride, do not have much of my sympathy.

ub2yoo - i certainly had no guilt or anything about the sponsor, it never ceases to amaze me the number of guys who sponsor women and kid themselves that somehow their relationship with them is any different from that she has had with a guy for one night only. i am well aware western men (particularly) easily fall for women here but its as if they lose all common sense. denial seems to be a major factor just to keep the fantasy alive somehow. 'if only she wasn't a bar girl' - well she probably wouldn't be quite the person she is and would then probably never have given some farang the time of day.

yes there is genuine love sometimes but that is very very rare and there is a huge minefield of problems to negotiate first. in my current relationship i know that most likely it will crash and burn spectaculary one day but am enjoying it in the meantime.

obviously we could all try and be with thai 'goodgirls' but even if they were interested in a farang the cultural differences with them are even greater, the more likely best alternative would be to go after a farang goodgirl but that would just be stupid..... wouldn't it??????

regarding others' comments about me being weak etc for being 'kept' or however it was interpreted, i don't think that would best describe things (my denial perhaps) - nonetheless i just don't get it.
