There was some documentary on Trump as a businessman that aired shortly after he became President. His modus operandi was to conceive of an idea then get all his staff (lawyers, finance guys, etc.) to actually deliver on it. He’s a totally hands off type of guy. Taking over the supply chain is common sense to avoid bidding wars on PPE, ventilators, etc and direct supplies to the most crucial areas first. Hell, if you build too many ventilators you can sell them or give them to other countries later. But that is a Hands On approach and not in Trump’s nature so he won’t do it. In his mind that is always somebody else’s job. As for Pence kissing his ass, Pence is smart and knows that to get Trump to do anything you have to praise him. That’s why Governors are playing nice and foreign leaders play Trump like a fiddle. Trump is as transparent as a medical face shield.

Andrew Cuomo is nowhere near the stupidity of TruDouche and Dubya. New York has seen job growth under him albeit slow and mostly in NYC and he has also lowered taxes for the middle class. My bad, China deserves much or most of the blame. But do not use my omission to deflect from the anemic response of other leaders. The whole world knew there was a serious problem back in January. How do they flatten the curve without flattening the economy? They'll have to find out together.

I will repeat a point I made on another thread. One of the things that is needed in the near term is for significant ramping up of testing. If we can get to the point where everyone is tested every couple of weeks then the healthy can return to work and commerce, and the sick can be quarantined. A recent negative test would be a kind of passport. It would be worth the billions that it may cost.

If people think Donald Trump has performed poorly throughout this ordeal, I'd like to see them tell that to the 60% who approve of the job he's done during this stretch. MSNBC is feeling so threatened by his briefings that they suggested networks stop airing them because all they do is add to his popularity. These briefings have shown a different side to him that the public didn't know existed and that kills the liberal lame stream media. Nancy Pelosi, the ancient dinosaur and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the direct product of university indoctrination, delayed the signing of a $2 trillion stimulus package that would take care of small businesses and workers affected by the shutdown. They tried to add in some of their leftist agendas as conditions for the bill's passing. Thank goodness they faced a backlash for it and caved in. CNN and MSNBC have harped about Trump calling it the Chinese Virus and yet you can find several videos of them calling it just that 2 months ago before it even had its own name. I am with you guys on this. Ford and Trudeau are doing a very good job. Trudeau may not be a strong leader but he has a good team and he is smart enough to listen to experts and doing his best for everyone and the country. Nobody is perfect but I'd rather have a guy like Trudeau than an idiot like Trump.
