I'll be at The China Hotel Marriott next week also. Frankly, I found an amazing girl last year who I now spend time with in GZ -- so I don't look hard in GZ as I have no need to. That said, there is a spa next door at the Chinese hotel (Deng Feng, I think?) I've never partaken there, but I hear it is OK. Long ago at the Marriott it was easy to go down to "Catwalk" bar or even to the Hard Rock massageplanete before it closed, but no more. One thing VERY important to know is that the Marriott is almost Nazi-like regarding bringing girls up to your room -- so be sure to do so before 10 PM. (To avoid this, I reserve my room for 2 and simply get 2 keys, I meet my friend for dinner off-site and give her a room key just in case the guards give us trouble. As she is very educated (more than me), and I'm sure appears to be a HK or Taiwanese businesswoman, they NEVER say a word to us -- though a local KTV or spa girl could likely not pull this off.)
In general, I do not think that Guangzhou is as simple to locate talent as Hong Kong, Shenzhen, or DongGuan. (I also think that Shanghai is also tougher than these cities and even Beijing.) I will also be spending a night on this trip in Houjie, so I'll report how that goes.
