to be honest - I am disappointed about how this thread became more about my actions as opposed to the message I was trying to get out - that wasn't my intent in posting.

I already know I did the right thing - without a smidge of doubt.

Oh man, it's always hard when you have to learn your parents are human beings. Thank you from sparing this naive young woman some pain. I think you did a good thing, but her dad was a jerk for creating the situation. And I'm pretty sure firefox has a 'clear history when session closes' function in its privacy/security section.

all joking aside, she was talking about following him or looking through his pockets to find proof that he's not just looking. By the end of the conversation, she seemed to agree to turn a blind eye but if she does end up catching him - at least she spoke to someone who was kind and patient who likely dispelled some stereotypes of what women in the industry are like. I guess if I found out my dad payed for play, it'd be a lot easier to handle knowing that the girls he paid aren't as shady as what stereotypes would lead a typical young woman to believe.

if you don't want to get caught don't do it
there are guys out there who have gps units on their cars put on by wives/girlfriends to log their whereabouts and have no idea they are beeing tracked. Cell phones that are on can be triangulated by easy software available to anyone

Another good program to use to keep your PC private is C CLeaner.
http://www.ccleaner.com/ Free program I have used for a year. Great. Clears history, on all browsers, registry,recycle bin. Etc. check it out.

ALSO COOKIES TOO! WATCH YOUR COOKIES. Most sites put cookies in your folders for tracking your visit to the site, and other reason...

SOME people know how to check your cookies in settings. CCleaner, take it out too if you set it up right.

Sandboxie is another good program. Runs browser, or any program in a protected space. Any browser history run inside the "sandbox" is not visible if run outside the "sandox". Keeps all history and passwords relegated to the "sandbox" space.

IE8 has an InPrivate browsing feature that doesn't allow for sites visited to show up in history. The normal browsing can also be set-up to delete history upon exiting.

Way to go Jenn. I use Sandboxie to run my browser in a sandbox so everything is erased every time I close it. Phone calls are another problem, though. I can't call you from Guelph without leaving records on my long distance phone bill. If I ever find a genie's lamp, one of my 3 wishes will be that you could go on tour on Saturdays so we long-distance admirers could see you without leaving phone traces.
