I heard of this once before from one of my masseuses and she did the same thing with all phones go in a basket at the door. Good practice, keeps perving down and stops interruptions. Surprised you kept him as a client. You are one foregiving lady.

I know this is an old post but I'm responding because I had this happen.
I had someone try to record a massage session once.... he was a regular...seen me at least once a week.
The guy had a camera folded in his clothing on the chair, it was just peeking out a bit...i noticed it right away...because as massage providers we kinda just stare around the room into space while you're face down.
Sorry to burst your bubble, we aren't oogling your body the whole time lol
So at first I was like...wtf...so I smiled into the camera while he was face down, made faces and gave it the finger etc... just so when he watched it later he'd be like wtf this isn't a sexy video.
and I just did the massage as regular...I confronted him about it the next time he came in... I said "so did you like that video" and he was embarrassed that I knew. I let him know if I catch him pulling that shit again, I'd give him a nice view by shoving the camera up his ass.
He continued to be a respectful long term client.
But now I am totally paranoid, I make all clients throw their phones into a basket that I set on the table. And I throw a towel over their folded/hanging clothing, there isn't really anywhere else to put a camera in my studio rooms.
But I often wonder how much of the massage room porn is staged.

I decided against it, he is a regular and always polite. I didn't think he'd come back honestly, he did go longer between booking the next appointment so I think he was unsure if he should have come back. Lol
It was just undraped massage, nothing I thought was worth filming anyways, I wasn't nude or anything. I should ask him if he still has it...I'd like to see myself making faces and obscene gestures while he was face down lol

Fair point but I did say MAYBE. No proof but do you really think this is the only time in his entire life he tried this? Maybe but...
If it was a one-time thing, great ! Sounds like Love2Massage might have put an end to it right away.
If not, it would have been nice to make sure there were no more victims.
That is all I was saying. Not making any accusation as per the "Who Knows" and "Maybe".

The tough part is I don't know if this is a hilarious comment or sadly, too true.

I was having some fun, but seriously it is up to us customers to have upfront discussions with masseuse before we take off our shoes, and very definitely in advance of any payment before the massage (I usually avoid these places). I've had reasonably good success by discussing in advance, and giving them an option of my going elsewhere or visiting when they don't need to answer phone or text. At one location where I prefer the managing girl's massage (she usually does not massage anymore), I have an understanding that she will text me when she knows that she won't have to leave the room (has a backup masseuse from time to time who can speak English and can handle customers and other masseuses' problems). This way she can at least lock the door and appreciate some reciprocal happiness. As customers we need to communicate more (directly) instead of allowing the same errors to be repeated.

And if all else fails, let them know that you deduct $10 for each text they send during massage and $20 for answered calls. And no tips for suddenly rushing out of room in the last 15 minutes of session.

They aren't slaves...well actually the asian places are notoriously known for sex trafficking and that's why you have such a turn over in them.
And for places requesting money or payment prior to the service, I'm seriously considering implementing this. I just had someone pull another "oh I only brought x amount of dollars" and no wallet for credit or debit. When the price of massage was well discussed and reminded in advance.
I'm also implementing that I need those consultation forms filled out to the fullest extent with real names and info, and a government issued ID to back it up for all new clients. People want receipts and happiness but they can't be transparent or honest.

Similarly, as a client, my tips are a reflection of the overall quality of the entire experience. It is my choice what I add or deduct to the tip. Cheers

What are you considering a tip? if they say 60 for he, is that considered a tip?

I would love to have a thread or an entire forum where massage therapist, service providers etc.. can review clients. That would be a dream, and handy so other service providers can know who has been blacklisted by other providers.

Yes, I've taken training with agencies that are trying to stop trafficking.

While I understand, and agree with, what you are saying, If it is agreed upon, should not be a problem. Base rate plus 'X' for Extra's - 'Y' for calls taken.
Calls and texts during a session is inexcusable barring family emergency.
