mentioned that she would soon be insisting on checking for government issued ID, before issuing receipts, I had a chuckle. Really? How many people ask for receipts in other people's names or fictitious names? For what purpose?

Didn't see that but it is silly to ask for a receipt in another name. The only reason I could see that is if you paid GST and want to make sure they have a GST number. If you plan on blowing the whistle on them, then good idea to use a fake name LOL.

I didn't have time to scroll through the rest of the posts...but just to clarify....the ID was not for receipt purposes. It's a safety issue...so I actually know who to call the police on if I'm assaulted again.
So nothing to chuckle about.

I work in a private studio so safety is important, I work privately so it's flexible with my hours/rules/services.

I find people refusing or giving false info on consultation forms. Being registered for my insurance purposes requires me to have these forms. Yes your info is secure.

I've been roughed up more than once, I've been ripped off with the "i forgot my wallet" etc... so knowing who they really are helps prevent them if they have intentions of doing something stupid.
As an RMT clients get my full name Etc...I feel it's only fair to know theirs.

I can't afford to hire someone else to be there with me all the time, and I've got bills to pay mouths to feed like everyone else... and I hate to start asking clients to pay up front.

I happily comply when any Rmt asks for my photo I.D. I just get tired of getting the funny looks when they see "Kim M. Maestro" on my driver's license.

And lastly...a heads up to Loves 2 Massage. My guess is that your latest Craigslist ad has a typo. In it, you mention that one of your massages offered is "relaxation action". I mention it publicly, because maybe it's a new term you were using that some members have heard of before. (Even Maestros don't know everything)

Love2Massage - I'm so glad you didn't slip and hurt something. So many things could have happened to you. I hear there was a wild unicorn going around tripping massage therapists on Thursday, once a unicorn goes rogue that's it there is no rehabilitation. There was also that bright ball of burning metal over Alberta and Saskatchewan the other night, thank god you weren't effected by the space gases that were likely spewing across it's path.
