How does one fight against falling in love with your fave MPA?

Anyone who has experienced all levels of MP's from your basic mechanical rub n' tug to the high mileage ultra sensual massages know what goes on or can go on in those small darkened rooms. Any normal red-blooded male who is not into swinging and swapping mates can and will get jealous at one point or another. He knows that at any time, his g/f MPA could meet Mr. Right or be so attracted to a client that high mileage just evolves. Basically, dating an MPA really tests your insecurities and ego to the MAX. Only dating an active SP or porn star would be harder than dating an active popular MPA IMHO. If a guy can handle this without feeling any pang of jealousy, then he doesn't truly love her...he may even try out other MPA's since he would feel justified while his g/f MPA is at it all day with various men....

I rotate between MPA's regularly.

I never let myself get too infatuated with any one MPA. If I start feeling that way I stay away for awhile. If you have a few favourites and rotate between them that's the best option. It's better to fall a little bit in love with many attendants than alot in love with one so that you can break it off easily enough or you don't get too in the dumps when she moves on or doesn't return the affections. It's also better if they are at different spas to avoid the jealousy aspect.

If an MPA really likes you for you. She will be contacting you (presuming she asked for your cell), she won't be hitting you up for $$$.

I agree with your summation as you perceive it, but as I implied, it entirely depends on how you perceive it.

If we were to take "tool" to mean someone that is used or manipulated, then there is some truth to that, but then again who is really being used and manipulated. Even this perspective is way too narrow and not the full picture, by any means

If we take "glorified" to mean, being or seeming to be better than the actual thing, and we take "tool" to mean an inanimate implement or machine, then we basically are implying that not only are they just inanimate implements or machines, but are not any better.

These were just two possible interpretations, for the sake of "debate". It can easily be interpreted to back up an opposing view, if one were so inclined, but none the less these are valid interpretations I think.

My problem is that it comes across as being reduced to something devoid of any human factors and implies objectification in the extreme. Of course one of the primary factors in most of us choosing an MPA is physical, but it is rarely the only factor, especially upon repeats.

A blow up doll is more accurately a "glorified masturbation tool". Contrary to what you may believe I would not pay for the company of a blow up doll. There's so much more to it than that and if it took reducing the experience to such a "cold" analogy, I'd get the hell out of dodge coz part of the thrill would be gone for me. Reality is how we perceive it, and while I may not get as involved as some might, I do appreciate the human factors involved. A touch of grey keeps things alive and as long as it can be kept in perspective it's all good.

My point was, that I wouldn't want to see it used on a regular basis, every-time someone feels a need to become grounded, as it can only perpetuate a negative outlook toward MPA's the way many would construe it. Would you feel comfortable with the term Massage Parlour Attendant being substituted with "glorified masturbating machine" whenever we mention SP's or MPA's ? I doubt you would phone up an MPA and ask what "masturbation tools" are available. You'd be directed to a sex toy shop, at best. It's not about how MPA's may see it, so much as what it could perpetuate among ourselves and a projection of the hobby.

I think we guys sometimes get too sentimental over a good jerk. Sure what you are saying is true, but it is way too weighty for the fantasy world of MP's. The emotional interaction between the MPA and client is really very superficial (and doesn't deserve all the esoteric comments), but because the sensation is so physically charged we tend to make it something more than it really is (and that is why I think the term glorified masturbation tool is so amusing and apropos). I merely used the illustration of how the MPA's interact with one another, to express that sentiment and the degree of emotional attachment from their perspective.

I have to agree with the essence of both yourself and figurehead's perspective on the term and I even alluded to it in my previous post.

However, my precious statements still stand. Not everyone will interpret it in such a way. Do you honestly think everyone who goes out and buys a Rage CD, appreciates the messages or interprets them in an insightful manner. No, many just follow them coz they are bitter, have a chip on their shoulder and relate to the general angst; using it as an outlet, without questioning it's true meaning.

It's obvious that we all seek slightly different things from an MPA experience. At one end of the spectrum there are those who are purely in this, for a sexual release and at the other, there seems to be those looking for a serious connection on a more emotional level. For me, like the astute Monkeylove, although the primary motive is sexual, it is also an emotional outlet of sorts, and bonding with another human being, no matter how short lived and superficial it may or may not be. I know you use the term "good jerk" to reduce it to the bare bones of your perception and not in a literal sense, but to be honest I rarely get a good jerk. If that's truly all I was after, I do a much better "job" myself. Although my primary goal is a sexual experience with hot chicks, if there is no perceived chemistry with an MPA I generally do not repeat. The terms mechanical, clicking etc are used often in reviews and for good reason. Many of us desire that human interaction.

btw, On the other side of the coin, I find the term, "the ladies", which some people use, a little patronising and pretentious.

Anyway, I don't think our views on this new term, are really that different, as you haven't disagreed to it's other inference, which I stated before. You only gave your personal interpretation and how you think others may percieve it. Apparently it's a small minority who object to it's possible inference, so ...

She admitted that she was jaded, along with the rest of the girls in the place, and was inclined to believe that it wasn't possible. I admitted that I wasn't sure myself, but hoped that it was, given the right person (okay I was spinning the shit a little). The owner then came in and added her $0.02 to the conversation. She said that marriage is not a good thing and that you should live with a person until the passion wears off and then get the fuck out of dodge and move on instead of wasting your life in a bad situation.

Anyways, we talked for a long time and I got some different perspectives. To be perfectly honest, some girls make it really hard to view them as 'glorified masturbation tools' even considering the reality of the situation.
