Bit further out, but not too far. You can walk in and out to Bangla no need for taxi or M/bike unless you really want. I think it is GF too, but always worth checking as things change.

This doesnt sound good. I was planning a trip to Phuket next month to make up for a dissapointingly quiet trip to Samui earlier in the year.

Are there still a lot of freelancers at the clubs or have they gone to BKK/Pats?

Damn was thinking of returning in late July it's been two years, loved Hollywoods, didn't realise Tiger had a club "plonker", didn't get to FBI. 42 and still a clubber! Nigel from SeaDragon was a great bloke, and the girls were friendly and not over pushy lol So bored at the moment so not keen to pounced on, well I am, but not by empty Soi's although guessing it would be a buyers market! I was just in Patong for 3 weeks, it was dead, dead dead. My girlfriends bar, she's the owner, is suffering horribely, sometimes they get no customers at all. The bar is off Soi Sansebai so not on the main strip, but she usually does really well. She said this is the worst low season she's had in 3 years. A lot of the bars are hanging on by a thread to stay open, some are months behind in rent.

With the way the economy is going in Europe, Greece getting a huge bailout with talks of Ireland getting another, and all the other issues going on, it doesn't bode well for tourists, anywhere, not just Thailand.
