Im not sure how it'd work... I know theres a Chip on the newer ID cards.. But scanners are expensive.. Thinking of a smartphone app.. where the reader scans the ID.. must be a number on there to use.

Ive done a little research into scanning apps for smartphones for another project and the cameras can be used to read barcodes so surely there is something on the cards to be scanned in that manner.

Either that or you just need "Cop TV software" that can use facial recognition to instantly identify a BG. I so wish I had a cop TV show computer, they do so much awesome stuff.

They can have patong for all i care,apart from coming into town every couple of nights for bangla time when i am on holiday i mostly keep away from the place ,too busy and congested, too many people wanting your attention.

I was referring to the whole town, not just that Soi. Bangla still had punters walking up and down the street, but the Soi's were all pretty quiet compared to last year at this time. It won't be a bad thing if you are heading there because there are still plenty of girls to chose from, just less punters to fight over them.

And then you read in the local news that international tourist arrivals were up almost 50% year on year in June and that 2011 will break the number of arrivals at the airport for the year. Demographics are definitely shifting towards less single punters!

I don't think it is that quiet this low season. But from my point of view there alot of people walking Bangla, Beach and Jungceylon they just don't go into the sois and drink something there. Last night stayed at Kangaroo Bar and I noticed alot of couples walking around and many of these couples were farang with thai girls and kids.

Was there last week. Patong was quiet - but still a thousand times busier than any night time place in australia. Except friday / saturday nights

The problem I see in patong is for the business owners not the tourists.

It is great fun in low season as the girls are very willing to please. But for the business owners it seems as soon as someone comes up with a good idea in high season everyone just copies until the market is saturated and everyone goes broke when low season hits.

Aaaarrrrrh for me it's because where I come in Essex there was a club called Hollywoods : so a brain thing to add a S, I am going to Tigers tonight : sorry couldn't resist another S 55555 going to Seadragon tonight been two years since trying hammer a nail into a block of wood, and getting beaten by a girl (charge extra for the beating... Joking.... They do that for free!! Or mostly a drink)
