was talking to him a few weeks back about his good mate Werner who recently sold Montes,one of my most visited bar-restaurants since i`ve been here.
i asked Rudy when Werner would be back to LOS and he said "never".he then went on tell me that if he could sell KBG he would go back home never to return.

they`ve both been through the wringer here and had enough..

I think patong will really feel the effects of the GFC this year. In Australia the government is trying to talk up how good things are but every small business owner I speak to is struggling.

I guess australians make up a fair perceneforum.xxxe in low season as it is our winter now.

Ok just to straighten things up regarding Sunset Plaza.....

Ott's Uncle owns the whole area but doesn't get involved in running it. Ott kind of manages the area and when he saw how well the bars were doing wanted a piece of the pie. There was an internet shop and tour shop next to each other which, when their lease was up put it up by 300% to get them out.

Ott built the now 'Ocean View' bar and gave it to his Sister and brother in law to make a go of. The other bars were a bit pissed at first but turned out that that area being as popular as it is and being open day and night, there were plenty of customers to go round......

My reply to spurious posts by G ( I was a wonder once ...) and his best mate, Bangladivedandcameupwitharankpussyinhismouth....... is "FOK"....from now on.

This means that when they only use their power of reply in a non-understandable or negative way, I will just reply "FOK"..... or sometimes, if the may accidently have a point , I will reply with "FOK?", meaning ,"What the FOK?", in that I actually am considering that they might have made an attempt to make a reasoned opinion, and werent trying to feebly attempt to be just another 'tosser'on a web board instead of trying to fcuk a train of discussion that they may think, maybe out of insecurity, is so easy to do so for some obscure reason....

According to a bar owner in Kata all the bars after the new complex which is past the Karon/Kata intersection are going.

I always felt that Kata ans Karon were too far off the beaten track for Girly bars to do much good as these areas always appeared to be more for families who probably dont spend much time in them .....???

I remember going to a BM's bar with MC and girls a couple of years ago and a soi of new bars was pretty dead, I hope he managed to sell up as he was trying to a while back.

Although a 'romantic' idea I feel that to buy a bar, unless its in a really good position, is asking for trouble, plus you have to have a gimick of some sort ........... or a web site and a forum ........
