Madame Cleos closes after 19 years

Been there once... and once was enough.

WAY overpriced, and the girl kept trying to ask for more and more money, total ripoff. This is one place that wont be missed.

You are the third person I've heard say this. Of the other two one said that there was no place to sit when they were waiting for a client to arrive and the second quit after management turned off the heat in december. I'd never go there.

The couple of BBC girls I saw this year said it was a good place to work.

I have no idea what they're like to work for.... BUT I've had many gimpses of the staff room and there's tons of 'sitting' going on... a big make-up mirror with ledge and stools all lined up, and beside that a TV with chairs and bookshelves.... so nowhere to sit? i don't get it...

I can personally say I've been there in the winter and been in rooms that were like saunas it was so hot. If they've ever turned off the heat I must've missed that day. Maybe the landlord turned off the heat this winter trying to get them out hahahah

I have heard staff complain that they are strict to work for... like missing work they have to get doctors notes and consequences for being late, management enforces pricing and service really vigorously and talk to all clients before they leave which one girl told me she personally found really invasive. I dunno, working for anyone you're answerable to them, some girls are better off being independent workers, I guess

My question is directed to any girls that worked at Cleos or knew the inside track.

How hard was it for a girl to get a job there? There must have been many girls that applied there and some that were turned away.

Did Cleos carefully screen their applicants and only pick the cream of the crop?

Or could any girl just walk in there and drop off a resume and get hired?

I'm glad that some of you were saying it,like it is I went there twice and all I got for the service was huge up sells, i could have gotten twice the service for 1/2 the money somewhere else. So good riddens scammers. Cleo is the reason with only deal with self employed ladies now

Frankly I'd be really surprised if they had something going by November... I have a little experience with city hall and the bureaucracy there is crazy.... it's gonna take a lot more than 2 months for them to get permits, licences, development permits, etc., unless they are taking over an EXISTING establishment. Perhaps they were naive/optimistic?

I haven't pooned since they closed. I don't think I'll be waiting much longer, I'm skeptical they'll have doors open by then, or they'd be advertising a Grand Opening by now. Remember how long it took Fox Den to open? They kept saying 'next month' for like, a year.

They have to have a "premises" for their current license by December 31 or else the City will cancel their current license.

In that event, in the new year Cleos would have to apply to the City for a new license.

Cleos current license is still in "Good Standing" with the City because they were evicted, however they still have to find a premises for their license. This is not something you can let drag on for years.

Considering the City has regrettably placed a Moritorium on the issuance of new "Health Enhancement" licenses (the only Bodyrub is Swedish Touch), I don't know what Cleos chances are.

However I'm sure they can apply for an extension?

Cleos saw this coming for 3 years in their legal fight with the Aquilini people. They were planning 3 years ago to move to Granville so I don't know what the holdup is.

I suspect the City just wants them gone. They're not giving Cleos the zoning to open up anywhere else downtown.

There is a MP owner who will remain anonymous who told me the City isn't letting Cleos move.

As far as Spa S is concerned, they opened at precisely the same time Cleos closed. Either that was by design by their owner, or that's the way the City wanted it.

What Cleos should do is find a temporary location somewhere, renew their license, and look for a new home in the new year.

But Cleos can't afford to just let their license run out without a premises designation. They'll never get another one.

Went to Cleos a few times a few years ago. I found the girsl really hot, which is why I went, however, at the time, I didn't have much pooning experience, but I still felt like I got hosed because there was no GFE of any kind, at least in my experiences. it was quick and thank you very much. It was obvious... at least with the girls I saw, they were looking for money, without providing the service in exchange.

I did kinda like the manager asking how things were after though, I think the reason is so they keep a closer eye on the girls, so they're not ripping people off, and figure how they can improve their service. That was my take on it anyways.

I've generally had good experiences at the Den, so if I'm going to an MP, that'd usually be my first choice.

I suppose they would know whether they're reopening.

but what I can't understand is why their Gallery on their site is still open taking your Credit Card for payment into the Gallery.

I mean, it's closed, so the girls aren't working there right now, so why are they continuing to charge credit cards?

It's only $ 3.95 a shot but with thousands of hits, they make a lot of money.

I'd hope there's not something funny going on here.

Karma Management runs the place and does the CC charges. Karma is in the phone book. They'd have a lot more info

I called Karma Mgmt and they're not calling back which I think is very rude.

They're still taking people's money through their CC Bill system on the website gallery. If they're really closed down they should close down their credit card billing system also for the simple reason that the girls pictured in the gallery no longer work there.

I know though that Karma has an office on West 7th.

If she told you they're reopening, that's fine, but I suspect City Council is not making it easy for Rebecca right now.

And that's too bad cause she's worked very hard and been through a lot with the court case, etc.

The website says they will open in November and will be DT, but, they don't post an exact date as to when they will open.

I do agree with most MP being a rip off but the one thing I give Cleos is that although they did not have the best facilities they treated there girls pretty well. Its hard to find a MP that is completely non-GFE. When girls start in this industry many of them get forced, or pushed, into providing services that they don't wish to offer right away, if ever. Rebecca always watched out for her girls needs and taught them how to use other sensual and visual stimulation. I respect her for that.

Hes only mad because most agencies in this city have stopped allowing him there services. I know this because I myself have seen Bostich and can assure everyone that he is just as much of a hassle as he sounds. Hes rude, forceful, persistent and always begs for more than girls are willing to provide. I know many girls that have seen him and only a handful have made it out of his parents house without crying.

Bostich please, although I know your going to be mad and I'm possitive you will tell the world I also ripped you off, just stop with the rip offs and the full of crap reviews.
