I too tried to book an appointment with Melissa... After exchanging a couple of emails she sent me her phone number and we had a nice chat on the phone. She sounded like she'd be a lot of fun.
None of the days/times I preferred worked for her and she finally gave me an appointment for 5pm on Friday. But before we finished our conversation, she asked please, could we possibly make it for 6 pm instead. No problem.
She did ask that I call her during the day of the appointment to confirm, and several times during the day I tried to reach her, only getting her voice mail. I left her my phone number and asked her to call me when she could and that I'd also keep trying. Pretty much the whole day went by without my reaching her or hearing from her. Finally I left my office in downtown Montreal in order to be in her area in time for the appointment. (Remember, this was Friday afternnoon, start of a long weekend, and traffic was horrible!) I left her another voice mail saying I'd be in the area in time and would she please call me.
Anyway, at about 5:15 pm she did finally call, only to tell me that she had to go to the post office (huh?) and that she couldn't see me at 6pm after all. She wanted to see me at 7pm instead.
I'd already sat in traffic just to make sure I'd be in her area in time, without making HER wait, so I was frustrated and unfortunately 7pm just didn't work for me (had other plans for 8 pm). So our meeting just didn't take place.
She might be really terrific (and from the reports here she is) and I'm certainly respectful of a mp's time and always make sure I am there in time for any appointment (otherwise I cancel WELL in advance), but it's frustrating that she doesn't appear to feel the same way towards her clients.
Because it's so out-of-the-way for me, I doubt very much if I'll try to schedule another meeting with her. If I regularly passed by her area, no problem, but I'm not about to take the chance of wasting another couple of hours (travel time there and back) in case she cancels/postpones again.
