Completely agree with that, however in Homebar's case, i don't think any amount of networking will help. Networking is one thing, but when you're running a F&B outlet one of the most important things is Location, location, location...

It will make a nice change to have a club thats prices out the riff raff/punters who are just chasing hookers and have a club full of normal people wanting to dance or just meet people where money for sex doesn't change hands. Long overdue

I got some of the staff to let me have a look round the new club last night. There's still lots of work going on day and night to get it ready for the opening on 4th November.

Yes its a lot higher class than we are used to in Patong and looks impressive. Most of the fit out has been imported from Finland so the rumours of high prices may well be true. Not sure about the flock wallpaper though - reminds me of a 1970/80s Indian restaurant!!! It's on two floors with the upper floor set up balcony style so can watch the dance floor below (or whatever else drunk falangs like to do when offered such a target).

They also said that the DJs will be from Europe, starting with one from Finland.

Went the first three nights (briefly). Opening night they were still fitting it out at 11 so living room 2 had a fair few punters whilst they waited. Majority of those there were moneyed europeans who i have never seen in patong at night and dont think i ever will. Prices aren't high. Staff are a bit clueless. Music is a very strange mix. Photographer wouyldn't leave my girlfriend alone but she liked that i think. Probably going to get bannana type customers so make your own mind up! Too early to say really.

Not too start a new thread but whats with this new club for bangla called 'the wave' (see billboard by safari)- bad taste or not?
