Even women can tell a new car from an old car and generally arent impressed by used mercedes Benz cars that are 10+ years old.

Corollas didnt generate major repair bills. Their parts lasted forever. The only issue they had was worn piston ring springs that would prevent the oil rings from sealing properly and allow oil to pass into the upper part of the cylinder where it isnt suppose to be. That would result in major oil consumption - burning during combustion and fouled up spark plugs etc. But in terms of parts - muffler, alternator, wheel bearings, engine mounts etc, they were very, very reliable cars. And the Trannies on Corollas are legendary for how well they hold up.

Civic is decent. I currently drive a 2011 Honda Civic. low maintenance. The most expensive thing I replaced so far are the tires.

I wouldnt buy a Hyundai. I am just saying that used German cars are terribly unreliable compared to new Hyundais. My wife's friend came to meet us today and she drives a Maseratti. I asked her if she was leasing the car or she bought it. She said she bought it. I said, well you will spend ALOT of money fixing that car because it is extremely poorly built and unreliable. She didnt care, she is ultra rich. Her father is high up in the Chinese govt and he can get more money for her anytime she needs it. Those Chinese officials are Billionaires, not millionaires and they can get printed currency at any time in almost an unlimited supply.
