Personally I think you should try to be friends with him if anything until things get uncomplicated and he really splits with his wife. Until that point you won't know for sure if there's anything there. Even if he is telling the truth what happens 6 months from now when you're totally in love with him and find out he's been sleeping with his wife for the last 4 months and that he realizes that he still loves her? Not like you can accuse a man of cheating on you with his wife.
