If it was long time ago, I agree. Leo seem to have improved a lot lately.
Loads of people prefer it compare to Singha........(both from same brewery)
Bm's and others coming to Phayam seem to like it................(not only because it's cheap)

Its probably 8-10 years ago and never saw any reason to try it again, its was really bad. I bought it instead of Singha by mistake.

I stick to Singha Light I guess. Is that available in Koh Phayam?

BTW, you dont drink beer anyway when I think about it.

Im a Beer Loa drinker during the day... I usually hit the spirits at night.... They have at beach bar which is along the beach on the south end of beach road opposite to absoulte hotel.....

Seriously, I know everybody is making jokes, etc., but if you ever wondered why the search function doesn't work as well as it could, and why people feel a need to say "USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION", no offense to Mr. IJ, it's because a (semi)-serious question is followed by a bunch of non-answers. Funny, cool, sanook, I don't know, but 8 responses in, nobody even attempted to answer the question. Myself included!! I have no clue why beer Lao is running out, but it is an interesting question!

The lack of lighter beers in phuket surprised me. I am a quick drinker and combine that with an early start and hot weather and it isn't hard to get a bit schindlers list too early in the night. Singha light is more a mid strength i think and most bars don't even have a light on option. I rarely drink light at home but would buy it in LOS everytime. No point getting home with a lovely and passing out before the fun starts.

i never got the strength of beer thing excpet when i drank some real strong Polish beer at 8%
people in Canada will always comment that the beer at whatever % is stronger than whatever % it is in States
but i always feel the same effect

I have beer Lao in MTB, Gollum had his bottles tonight, for example, so I havent seen beer lao running out yet.

But it happens to Singha and Singha light also once in a while, sometimes for just 2 days, worst case 10-14 days or so. Maybe once a year. Simply not enough stock at the Phuket dealer and then it runs out. Or maybe out of stock at the manufacturer for a short while, high demand, I dont know.

Beer Lao is in small demand, maybe its discontinued in Phuket? The local dealer maybe not find it worthwhile to deal with it in low volumes? We will find out, I guess.

I'm a light beer drinker here at home.....I tend to throw em down quick.
I switched to light beer many years ago........One of the best things I've ever done......Moreso, it needed to be done.:he:

Only the Singha Lite S1.

It`s about 3.5% as compared to the rest which are about 5%.

Actually I went back to being a beer-drinker after I moved to Phayam.
The only bar I know sell Leo is Power Bar in soi sansabai............Maybe a good option for others to stock too, and you can easy price it 10 baht cheaper than other beers (not that I care about the price)
