A new row of bars currently being built on Sansabai now, used to be parking space for cars.

The car parking situation is bad at the moment, but heard BB Bungalows will be removed and replaced with car parking space instead, and thats needed.

they are collecting $50000-$80000baht key money per year & rentals of $8000-$10000baht per month for the tiny spot.

Right now I think they are an eyesore. It is pure greed on the owners part. Not really a surprise...TIT. If that is the correct key money and rent, I think they will sell out. IMO plenty of guys will come up with that kind of cash to "have a bar in Thailand".
There is one bar that opened above where that family mart was. White and Black Bar is the name, and it's quite nice. Inside AC, pool table etc.

Spoke to a guy tonight, he is looking for business and according to him two Thai guys already bought most of the bars and now reselling them to higher prices e.g. 300k keymoney and 18k rent etc and most units already sold.

Yeah that was the price for the kind of cabana bars set up down near Patong gym and OTOP, Tho I have since heard plain silly money even tho farangs dont make anything out of them (Thais can operate with lower overheads and salary expectations so seem to eek a minor living)..

I would have to think these have more potential than the back of OTOP bars and its a slow expansion of town.

Notice of course thats key money for year 1.. If they make money key money year two will be much higher.
