What I'm saying TP is that prostitution, or shall we also say 'adult services', are not prohibited like they are in the States or in other countries. I would say that you can't even legislate civil conduct in this facet of life, no different than they tried to ban booze or alcoholic drinking decades ago.

You raise good points that may indeed echo your personal concerns if not those of the majority of avid hobbyists. Perhaps, there should be a section in massageplanet.net (or any review board for that matter) that addresses the addictive nature of the hobby with helpful information including a public service message or warning?

Ya there are some like that. But they chill in the Lounge, and read reviews for kicks. When guys 1st join the boards, they are like a kid in a candy store, and naieve to the depths of it. However once u realize the 'secret' PM cirlces, the mileage hunters, the shills, and other politics, its like a whole other world. And ya, that hardcore.



Its only too much if its outside your means, and doesnt affect your realtionships. Some people get in way too deep. Its about what works for u



After 8yrs as an MPA, and now almost 2 as a spa owner, I have seen A LOT! Good, bad, and ugly. I can honestly say I have never heard of a story like the guy u posted about. Yes, I have seen some get very addicted, I know of many guys that seek out some disgraceful things from girls, I've seen drunk clients, high clients, even a few girls along the road. Depressed guys, happy guys, happily married, sadly divorced, and same for girls. However, I've never seen a guy pass an STI to his wife and lose everything. Im positive thats not the norm.

Most men I have encountered have deep-rooted life stories with strong reasons to hobby. Everything from "I'm single and dont want a gf" to "my wife and I havent slept together in 16yrs". To be honest, I've seen more girls get f**ked up from the biz than guys. And Im lucky to not have encountered many f**ked up girls in my career! But sometimes you come across girls that get stuck. Tell me a profession where that doesnt happen?? Its a choice. People get comfortable. Lackluster. Stable. Either way, its still about balance. Male & female. This business should be about fun, enjoyment, freedom, and reducing STRESS!

MPAsquared thanks for being the voice of reason here. It's easy to blame the hobby but what about the individual's responsibility. Chances are if it wasn't the hobby that fucked up their life it would have been something else (gambling, alcohol, drugs, porn etc). Self control is the key. Most people have it, a few don't.
