it comes down who is more desperate, spa or the customers. I say the spa. Customers always get the final say. if you are going to charge an arm and a leg, the service better be good otherwise there won't be repeats. in the short term, the spa may thrive with the hike in revenue. in the long run not so much. At the end of the day every industry will be like: survivial of the fittest. those who can survive the competition will continue, those cannot will be eliminated eventually.

thats how I view places like Absolute, Crystal can still hire hot talent, but if they gonna be bougie, give attitude, act like they don't give a fuck, and be an assembly operation, then they gonna lose customers, cuz at the end we got the final and can tell them to fuck off and kick rocks.

So in Ontario , it is up to the municipalities if they wish to tolerate brothels .
Markham yes, Oakville and Milton, hell no , as per town council and municipal licensing.
Follow the money, York Region LE and politicos are infamous for corruption and the brothels operate with their blessing currently . The sex trade is into the billions in Ontario alone. Elements in the Chinese community in Markham disapproves but are ignored.
If someone(s) get whacked like in 2004, then perhaps LE might be compelled to enforce again, but now with the spineless Bill C36, convictions are impossible and LE doesn’t want to get involved in a case which could go all the way to the SCC again .

Everything old is new again. The only constants are death, taxes and whoring. Currently only underaged and the grey area of human trafficking are on LEs‘s radar.
The winds could change though, actually it is not a question of if, but when.
You will always be able to pay to get your dick wet, but right now it is so ridiculously easy and the recession may make it even easier, inflation and stagflagtion not withstanding.
