So I had an appointment this morning and saw Jenny. Older auntie, in pretty good shape (she's probably older than Linda and Wendy and Annie!) Not bad Engrish. Told me she used to work in St. Albert. Massage- meh! Started out light and I asked for more pressure twice and only improved marginally. There was no question about draping. Relieved me of my stress.

The place is an upscaled version of XP- larger rooms updated decor a few more amenities like a sauna, a couple rooms with showers and the esthetician's room and the "couple's massage" room. I was in the first room nearest the reception and it was quite noisy with clients coming and going- and when she stepped out to get a hot towel I was exposed to the reception area! . For me there was still the "walk of shame" down the hall to the shower wrapped in a towel (The towels still had the store tags on them!). Then there was no hot water! The room was a little too cool for a naked person and there was no heating pad and the infra-red heater didn't work. Having a dedicated receptionist is a good thing, I guess. Though at XP my massages were very rarely interrupted by the door.

Linda was there as manager. Wendy and Cindy were there from XP as well. The other new girl was Jade. Quite friendly, Late twenties, "Short and stout" as my mother would put it. I may give her a try but certainly not my body type. Jenny mentioned someone named Angela but I never saw/met her. It will be interesting to see what happens with staff in both places. But I certainly didn't really see how they justified the $85 price tag! Maybe if they had power-adjustable tables with heating pads or in-room towel heaters or oil warmers...

Booked for an hour Saturday afternoon
Met Angela, English 2/10, Massage 1/10 no training at all, within 20 minutes I had to change my massager (first time ever)

Hmmm, I thought XP ladies are supposed to be giving good quality massages as that is how they keep getting repeat business and got so busy, they could open up TingTing to handle even more business. Someone mentioned that you cannot get by with looks alone at XP. Your experience at Ting Ting really goes way off in left field if run by same management.
Westjet is the main line and original company. Swoop is their low cost subsidiary founded later offering cheaper service and unreliable schedules.

But in the case of TingTing, it was founded later but offering inferior service for a higher price, competing with the original XP to become the flagship location.
It looks like XP still would be the place to go since it's market value, good quality massages and well established. Far from being a 2nd tier location.
It seems TingTing is racing to be at the bottom of the barrel.

Yeah, that's strange. While the staff at XP have different massage styles and I for sure have a preference for some staff over others, the quality is pretty consistently high. Like any service business, you can't win them all, and sure, they've had a few dud staff, but they seem to move along after a short tenure. What I expected was some of the more experienced staff might move to TingTing and some new blood move into XP. OTOH, existing staff might not want to move and take a chance on it being slow at first.

Been to XP and TT again in the last month. Doesn't seem to be anyone new at XP to replace Wendy and Cindy. When I asked who was at TT I was told Wendy, Cindy, Emma and Jenny. No Angela or Jade. Maybe they booted the girl that (didn't) massage Drunkboy.

So after bigbill's review I decided to try Emma. 5'4", 100lbs. but judging by the eye wrinkles difinitely older than 30 probably 40. But she was very friendly. Yes, English is lacking. Massage was light but quickly changed to medium when asked. She wore jeans and a T shirt with a fleecy type jacket, which I found odd given the uniforms that the girls wear at XP and even at TT on the first day. I'd give her 8/10 for the massage- certainly not "Wendy" standards!

Late this afternoon I was feeling needy and dropped by Xoaping to see me go to girl Lois. Unfortunately she was slammed so I thought I’d check out Ting Ting. I walked in and immediately recognized Linda and vice versa. Linda and I go way back and she never failed to disappoint. I was also greeted by a hotter than hot receptionist who had me sign the usual COVID paperwork.Playing Devils Advocate, I asked her several times if she did massage, and feigned severe disappointment when she said no. So the lovely Linda was my masseuse which was fine with me. Her deep tissue massage is amongst the best in the city and she allowed some touching outside of clothing. We chatted quite a bit, and she reminded me of the time I brought flowers to Xoaping on Mothers Day one year. She kept calling me sweet ____ ( my name) and things were looking good for a HE. On the flip her terrific massage skills continued, massaging my neck,stomach,legs, hands and eventually down under. I was very surprised when she adopted the DIY which I always refuse. Anyway I did get to say hi to Wendy with just a towel hiding my modest manhood, on the way to the shower, but I must admit I was a tad miffed at the DIY.One hour is $85 which is understandable for the beautiful new digs, but FFS Linda has given me many HEs over the years. I’m hoping this is a loyalty ploy, as Linda is a stellar masseause and great lady. I will try her again and see what happens

P.S I was in room 4 and it actually had a power-adjustable table! Now if they would add a heating pad...
*Note* You can have a shower in the nice spacious new shower but be prepared to stand there for a good 3 minutes waiting for hot water! I think it comes from downtown...

I suspect only Linda, Wendy and Annie are licensed masseuses so they can honestly say, if asked, that 'No, I don't do HE's'

I do prefer the lobby at Ting Ting as you're not standing on top of each other. That's nice. The rooms make no difference to me.

Back in the day I love to stop by XP before heading to Shanks, but after Linda ditched me for another even with appointment booked and I never go back since.

Ting Ting is okay......lets just say you need to put in the work yourself to feel happy. I can feel happy on my own at home lol.

Not a huge fan of XP. TT is cleaner however not impressed with the ending.
