Tips have gotten out of control

MPA making 78-85K in CASH - is that our concern? Why is that even a factor what they earned. They do things that a lot of ladies would not do. Some will work as cashier in a Supermarket for $15/hr. Some will work in Timmies for minimum wage in the morning shift. It is a choice they make.

They sacrifice their dignity to SERVICE US. Why? you said they play the poor card. Are you sure? Did you talk to any of them. Some of them are abandoned Single Moms with young children to bring up. Yes, some want to have a short cut to have luxuries in their life and willing to do what they are doing to make good COIN. Is that any much different that a Salesman selling their soul to make a sale, or those who are in a job that they hate but the MONEY is too good to pass up.

Please do not pass judgement on those of us willing to PAY MORE. It is our choice. Just like passing judgement of these ladies who do things that other might not do to make us HAPPY.

I am not passing judgement of you. All I can say is that if these ladies are making 75K a year and it bothers you that much then do not support them. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES.

Should we start going to the church of MPA’s to pay our respects? I think you got off the initial topic there. Pay whatever you want I’m not judging.
The 75k was more just surprising to me when I matched it out, I didn’t realize that it was that much that they made when you talk to them it’s like they are making next to nothing ... is there some kind of indentured servitude going on?

If your issue is with that only line in my initial post then likely shouldn’t continue to discuss as we won’t get anywhere.

However I need to say the below.

In my mind they do this job because it pays more in some cases and sadly in others because they don’t have a choice. The ones that don’t have a choice have my sympathies. If I’m wrong on this please correct me. I’ve learned a lot about this biz on this thread and hope to continue to

200k is about 770$ a day 5 days a week. Sounds quite achievable. What is tip structures for those spots as I have never gone? Like how many clients a day does 770$ a day equate to assuming average services. Going from earlier comments they get no room fee?

Buying a house with funds that you aren’t paying tax on by not declaring can get you in a world of hurt. I would assume/hope they are at least declaring some of this income. Or perhaps there’s an individual cleaning most of this cash for them

I appreciate your responses now that have had time to read the whole debate. Education and understanding is key. In this current economy, $75 K isn’t a lot of money. You couldnt buy a house in the GTHA or beyond with that kind of money, even if it was legit in nature. I don’t know your background obviously, but you and I know that many of these women do not have the benefits of established, generational Canadians. Whether they are new residents in Canada, or here on visas… most of them are not in a strong financial position with credit - so try to empathize a little maybe.

Now that you know a little more how the systems works - adjust your spending style and expectations. Have a minimum limit going in just like you’d have a maximum. The only time it is acceptable to not exchange any money is if you walk out. Heck, I’ve had to leave mid session due to my own personal emergency…. And still paid and tipped because I wasted her time.

Bottom line is…. $0 isn’t ok. You wouldn’t leave a store with a case of beer and not pay for it would you ? If you would then that’s a moral thing we don’t share. But I’d hope you would at least know that stealing is stealing… and then you get a service - no matter how bad, you need to pay for it. At least in some manner.

She shouldn't have tried to up charge standard rates and you most definitely shouldn't have taken the tip back. Even if she was tip hungry, that's still no excuse for you to not pay. When I lie on msg table, in my mind, tip $$$ = already spent … only way it doesnt get left behind = service not attempted…

Like Kelly spa! No xxtras there, but, sometimes girls get really aggressive massaging my butt, so I always keep an xxxtra $50 & more, justin case an offer is made… but that $$$ nvr gets spent… I do tip $20 tho…

But when I go Bellagio, I get one of hi mileage gals like Lucy or Amanda, & that $80 tip = its already spent… & xxtra $$$ in case theyre feeling really generous !

I will say that there are a lot of things that will keep me up at night. This isn’t one of them.

75k cash is easily well above the average income even in the GTA. But that is neither here nor there and didn’t even play a part in my decision. That number just came out when I tried to hack out what an average MPA would make with the current structure.

If I paid the cover and I then decided to only pay the 6$ I would be morally cleansed?

For the last statement I wouldn’t call it stealing. If I asked for it, hammered out a tip conditional on it being preformed and then walked out? Yes that would be the definition of stealing but fundamentally I think we disagree there.

Door fee doesn’t have anything to do with this. Obviously you don’t understand how the whole thing works. The tip isn’t really a tip. It’s for a service. You should know what the basic pricing is for a service. Ya maybe she asked for more but if she still did provide a service she should be compensated. When you receive a service and don’t pay, that is theft. Your bar analogy doesn’t really transfer.

Beating a dead horse here it seems. Like I said, I don’t agree with the upcharge but I don’t agree with not paying anything as a response to that up charge.
