Sorry, did I miss something? Surely it's a narrowminded bigot that dismisses all people because of their past? What are we suggesting here, that girls who work in a bar are fit for nothing else? What should we do with them when they are too old, melt them down for axle grease? Do you consider them some sort of sub-species?
Every man I meet, be it in the UK or elsewhere, has a tale about getting burned by women. I'm sure women have similar tales.
I'll stop generalising. If (big if) I met a girl who I wanted to marry, I would not give a rat's ass what she did for a living; we all have a history. Like the man says, when you take a taxi you don't ask about the last passenger.
If you read my original post you will see that, in my experience, everyone will assume she was a hooker anyway. Facts don't come into it. I say again, what she used to do for a living should be irrelevant, if you want to share your life with someone you should look forwards, not back.
