I haven't checked any facts yet. But I would guess there are more traffic deaths in the summer, because of more volume.
I do remember reading some facts that traffic deaths have been going down steadily since the 1950's. Mainly due to the use of seatbelts. But also because of safer cars, tires, and the police crackdown of drinking and driving. It might have spiked recently due to cell phones, though.
If we really cared about saving lives, we would ban cars.
And then focus on Covid19.
But we dont care about lives saved.
Its a smoke screen.
