I haven't checked any facts yet. But I would guess there are more traffic deaths in the summer, because of more volume.

I do remember reading some facts that traffic deaths have been going down steadily since the 1950's. Mainly due to the use of seatbelts. But also because of safer cars, tires, and the police crackdown of drinking and driving. It might have spiked recently due to cell phones, though.

If we really cared about saving lives, we would ban cars.

And then focus on Covid19.

But we dont care about lives saved.

Its a smoke screen.

3 months in and you have about 700.

Winter would result in more deaths than summer driving, I suppose. Maybe higher than 700.

Ok, I went to check Transport Canada's figures. According to them, there has been as average of about 1700 traffic fatalities in Canada in the last few years. So that would be around 425 for a 3 month period. You must be looking at old figures from many years ago.

When you said 700 traffic fatalities in the first 3 months, I said "whoah, that can't be".

There are millions of contraceptives all over the place. Females can be more responsible in their actions or they can release the baby for legal adoptions. There many couples on waiting lists to take them.

Unplanned pregnancies happen - most of us, no matter how sensible or intelligent, have had pregnancy scares (the period that comes a week or two later than normal). In the heat of the moment we take stupid chances, or the birth control fails. Some women do have the strength and support to carry an unwanted child to term and then give it up for adoption, but it is a very hard thing to do. Her friends and her family may put pressure on her to keep the child. She may develop a huge desire to keep the child even though she does not have the resources or the support to give it a good life. The boyfriend just wanted some fun, not to be trapped into fatherhood. If society was less judgmental and more supportive, there would be more adoptions and less abortions.

Shutting down the economy will kill at least 70,000 people over the next 5 years because of a lack of wealth creation, less proram funding and less healthcare treatment.

To Liberals, killing 70,000 is worth it if you save 600 lives (152 x4).
To Liberals, facts and numbers mean nothing. Its all about how they feel at that moment.

Dont forget, Canada aborts 100,000 babies every year and no one cares.

Everyone needs to be responsible for their actions. People can play and have sex all they want. But they need to be responsible for their own actions. They can't just say, "Opps, I got pregnant accidentally, and I need to kill my baby."
