Chat Any side effects from one of the vaccines?

I had my first Pfizer vaccination in early May. The next day I was a little tired but nothing drastic. In the last month I gained a little weight (finally starting to lose it again now) and for the past week I have been very horny. These two things may or may not be related to the vaccine. Has anyone else noticed any side effects from COIVD-19 vaccinations, good or bad?

Pfizer 1st dose. Sore arm for about 2-3 days, and a little tired but that was about it.

Most likely it’s all mental. You are probably felling better and more comfortable about your situation now that you have been vaccinated. Probably stressed before and the stress reduced your sex drive.

The anti-vaxxers will keep moving the goal posts on that. First, we’re supposed to die from the first dose. No, no, it’s only after the second dose that we die. No wait, we never said you’d die immediately we said the microchips will track you (even though we’re all being tracked through our smartphones today). No, wait again, we said you’d die years down the road like in your early 80s (the current life expectancy)

If you want to avoid the inconvenience, ask the nurse to inject the arm that you use to write things with. For example, if you are a righties, have the nurse inject the shot on to your left arm.

Harveys is giving away free burgers if you got your vaccine.. the only thing i'm wondering is why would they give away food for people getting their vaccines.. in fact why are so many for profit businesses giving away profits to encourage people to take a vaccine that is supposed to benefit themselves? Could be lot’s of reasons but it will always be selfish. Anheuser-Busch was giving away a free round if the US meets their vaccination targets. The quicker we get back to normal the more people will go back to restaurants and bars and drink their beer. So, really it’s just marketing to help get higher sales at the end of the day.

I’m guessing sales are down for Harvey’s too. If a large percentage of their sales was from the business lunch crowd and that is down due to stay-at-home and remote work then they also want things to get back to normal to get sales back up. The free burger itself is merely an ends to a mean. The free burger is just a marketing tactic.

Anyone else here who got Astra Zeneca as the first shot trying to decide what to do for second?

As I understand the factors,

• blood clot risk for second shot of AZ is much lower than first
• AZ does not offer protection latest "Indian" variant
• Following AZ with Pfizer puts you at risk of heightened adverse effects, i.e. flu like symptoms etc
• Mixing offers the strongest immune response, better than getting two doses of Pfizer

any other factors I've missed?
