I don't think the bars are affected by the world economy downturn, yet.
This high season wasn't great, but, it wasn't that bad, either.
There is going to be a real low low season. The problems will be seen during the next "high season", as it will be a disaster; closures and For Sale signs.

If I owned a bar, I'd be trying to sell it.
 
Yes, it is. I know the owner, an Australian that married one of my former receptionists. They are in Australia now, I think.
 
I used to eat there when i stayed at the DD.The Aussie owner could never get consistant staff.He used to pay them, then they would have 2or3 days off.

apart from not hating anyone it is embarrasing to see guys in their late 30's and 40's with shirts off thinking they are still young bucks never mind the young uns
