True. But we're all susceptible to our biases. Trump has said some very dumb things. I'd say that for most of February he would get a fail on his handling of this crisis. But since then? As I just said, Trudeau has handled this as well as can be expected, but in fairness, Trump has also been competent in his actions, if not his words. I am amused that the very people most critical of Trump on this issue are also in many cases the same people who were calling his decision to stop travel from China "racist and reactionary" when he took that step. Think back, how many back then guessed that Covid-19 would become what it has?

Whether you're (NOT YOU personally) left or right, it doesn't matter in this pandemic. To compare who's doing a better job between Trump or Cuomo is very childish and counterproductive. Save that for November and let's see who America chooses. In the meantime, it's not about who's doing more or who's talking less. It's about whether anyone is doing anything at all during this challenging time. As a citizen, I'm happy to see Trump and Cuomo working together. If you're bothered that Trump is going off on reporters, well then tell your trusty CNN to stop poking the bear by politicizing something that shouldn't be politicized. People are dying. People are losing their homes. People are losing their means of livelihood and CNN cares that Trump called it the Chinese virus. MSNBC cares that Trump is gaining popularity with his briefings. Simple-minded fools want to compare Trudeau and Ford's responses to Trump's. Honestly, at this time, who cares about any of that shit?!? If you want to criticize anyone, it's the politicians who delay relief efforts for their vanity projects. It's the media who does nothing but send messages of despair. The best one was Florida Governor stating churches are not affected by non essential services and one pastor saying they will keep going to church, Jesus loves them and Jesus is going to look after them. SMH.

Also if you guys hadn’t noticed, its not just the US but its the entire globalized western world who is getting completely fucked by this virus like no other. The best responses has so far have been in Eastern Europe and the Asian countries. Did you also notice how Beijing and Shanghai did not get an outbreak of the virus? if Cuomo was governor of Wuhan he would’ve made sure that all of China got infected with the virus by threatening to sue neighbouring regions for blocking diseased Wuhan residents from spreading the virus into their regions.

Perhaps you can give Cuomo some demerit points - I have not looked into his legal threats - but on balance he is way ahead of the pack. I think that the problem is far from handled in China and the Chinese government is lying extensively.

Again I ask you to look at the map of the most affected countries in the world, they all have a disproportionate amount of naive ignorant liberals intent of letting everything and everyone into their countries no questions asked. Churchill did some truly evil things, but was the right man to take on Hitler, who obviously was much worse. It is the nature of war - good guys do not win, you need brilliant and ruthless people on your side.

The point of my post is that politicians you may perceive as being terrible can actually do a lot of good in crisis, despite their records. Cuomo may be an establishment asshole, but right now he is showing true leadership.
