As one of the lowest key dressers going out around I can see no problem with this place being more upmarket.. Shorts help the heat tho (crank the AC up, dont be mean on that one) and while I would never go out clubbing in sandals, if your already out on a night, and there wasnt a specific plan, you might turn a lot of people away with that. In Bangkok you would be going out to a specific venue, on phuket its much more likely to just be part of a night.

I have never worn a wife beater in my life.. Safe there..

Not sure I'm keen on 170bht beers!! but there again fairly obvious I'm not their target market, just the same as I'd never pay £80 for a teeshirt just because it has a label from someone I've never heard of, but the young guys do, so they won't mind.

Might succeed in the high season but will suffer big time in the low and with 4 months of low at the launch going to be tough!!

Its a proper club... I would have killed for one after Shark left the scene and the music all went back to redone pop crap..

Tho I have to admit, in bangkok with a population of millions, if just 0.1% of the population are interested, you have a customer base.. On phuket just how many of the under 40, with money to burn on 200 baht beers, sort of set is there ?? And how many fo them can be out regularly enough to make a place work.. I wish it all the best, unreservedly and personally reckon I will love this as an option.. But its not an easy section of the market and even smaller places like lime stuggle with punters if they go with the proper club vibe, but compromise on the club vibe and it looses its way.

Its venes like this, that the island really needs, if its to evolve into the 'higher end destination' that it isnt yet..

Oh and some good news... There is free parking for Sound customers who use the valet parking system. Just drive up, leave the car with our staff and we'll pick up the bill. This is not just for opening night, this is standard policy.

Just to be clear, because people are STILL under the wrong impression, this is SOUND Phuket... sister club of Bed. We are not the same as Bed Supperclub. There is no door charge, no ID checks (unless you are a Thai who looks 18) and a pretty relaxed dress code (you'd better wear a shirt).

We will have guest DJs... Legendary DJ Dan is coming on August 13th.

We have different theme nights... Monday is Retro music - 70s, 80s and 90s. All classic stuff.

Wednesday is Hip Hop, RnB.

Thursday is Latin Music (with live Jazz vocalist)

Sunday is Mash-ups, Bootlegs and remixes with DJ Octo. Anything goes in Octo's sets.

We play House music on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Across the road, into Junkceylon, find it, up an elevator to the 3rd floor. Hardly the same as being at the end of Bangla.

Hi guys... Sorry, been busy for a few days and missed all of this.

DJs? All the deals are different... some are friends of friends, so we get lower rates.

Some events are sponsored by other companies and they share the costs involved in bringing in a big name.

Some guys want a holiday in Phuket and will do one night's work in exchange for a ticket and a hotel room.

Because we also have Bed Supperclub, we can get a 'bulk buying' discount if we book them for two nights - one in Bangkok and one in Phuket.

There are some other methods, which I don't want to put online, not because they are shady, but because they are very smart and I don't want everyone to know how to do it!
