my club will be opened in april/may when the "low season" starts...if i can survive 2009, then i don't have to hang myself..wish me luck!

all board members drink for free on "opening night" & also "out of business night" (just to clear up the booze stocks if i fail)

I can't believe you are putting your life savings into a venture and you need ideas from others on how to make it succeed. If you don't already know what to do and have experience doing it then stop now.

As others have stated, the current economic situation and the determination of the Thais to fcuk up their tourism industry should indicate that now might not be the best time to do it.

See an investment advisor and get in at the bottom of the market and watch your life savings grow over the next few years.
