For me anyway, it was like that last low season, not so much Patong where I thought it remained quite busy last year but definately in rural Kamalalala. The 2K girls very quickly became 1K girls.........Again.

Soi San Sabai at 0230 is definately Soi 1K. Soi Wonky!............I like that!

Bars who ask for a BF at closing time also annoy me........That's just me. Especially as she is going to be back in the bar by opening the next day. I would rather I gave the girl the full BF amount than split it with the Bar 50/50 for the sake of half an hour or so.

I tend to disagree with you on this one Paul, I think it is the same you are paying for a service or commodity and both have a human element, if a bg said 4k, that would speak volumes to me, either she doesn't like me or she has an inflated self worth, either way its not for me.

But there again this has never happened to me, I do not go on the desperate buying spree but rather have always taken my time to get to know someone, get to feel that things are good, enjoy her company, she laughs at my jokes and pretends to find me interesting, then back to loom becomes an inevitability and not a question, cost was left much more with myself and only queried once in all my times and then not unfavourably.

Now as an expat I'm in a relationship and therefore I speak of old times but of course I still go to bars, still chat and more so now actually talk with local bg's as a friend or regular drinking customer, so get perhaps a different view or perspective on their feelings or thoughts.

I watch the desperate guys and can spot them from a mile away, trawling the sois, no chat and straight in with 'how much bf?' or 'I bf you tonight, okay?', wow and then the girl sayes sure 3k or whatever, seen them agree and venture off into the night, been in the same bar the following evening where they recount their story with glee as they blow all the 3k on girl drinks for their friends, getting their supposed big face, and their attitude towards Mr Genrous from the previous evening, is always the same, 'stupid farang too much money'.

What happens the next night, heh a repeat only this time she sayes 'sure 4k' just to see his reaction, perhaps this one is even stupider than last nights one.

I personally at the moment do not care what people pay, but I feel sure if we get too many lame over payers, or generous guys, of course this can only lead to prices rising for everyone, not sure I think that is such a great thing.

But heck the subject has been done to death, I can think of about at least 2 or 3 times me and you have got hot under the collar on this one, so we both know what we individually think, nothing I could say will ever change things, so not really too bothered.
