It was always my understanding in the States that bar staff relied on decent tips to earn a half decent wage. This in turn ensured you always got good service
In the UK you literally have to beg for a drink when you go to a busy bar and even then there are customers who seem to be in the know with the bar staff and get shown favouritism ahead of peoples place in waiting. The biggest bug bear of all is stupid fkin b1tches ordering up cocktails which take 20 minutes to make then they all want to pay for their drinks one at a time. If i have a busy modern bar in the UK I would ensure to have a cocktail section of the bar so as not to inconvenience other customer who just want a beer or a short
In LOS my general rule of thumb is 20 baht tip for anything under 500 and 40 baht for anything over 500 unless it runs into the 1,000's then its maybe around 100 baht..................other value added services always attract 100 baht notes 55555
