I've had it with the crappy music in Soi Eric. I feel like I'm in a third rate Thai disco and its doing my f ucking head in. They used to play decent dance music and other assorted western music, but I guess the Dj must be fu cking one of the girls that dance now cuz its definately not the customers taste in music he is playing now.

I know its not Soi Eric but there was crap drum and bass boom booming in Tailife today. Its supposed to be a gym and leisure centre not a club. Not what you want to hear when relaxing in the pool. If I want to hear that sh1te (which I don't) I'd go clubbing ( which I don't).

PS- I have yet to see any girls dancing in Soi Eric. Shuffling yes .....................but dancing? 555555555555555555555

think I've said this before in here but in Patts my favourite bar area is a total Isaan scene....all Isaan owners, all gals fresh from the (N) issan factory etc and they only play Isaan dance music

the atmosphere is great in there as the gals are up dancing and smiling and singing away.....I'd be very happy if this was repeated in Patong.....better than shi'ite western discopop that's played in moist sois...

music in any bar should be heard, but not disturb....
have noticed that if you play the same song, at the same time every night, the girls will eventually get it, even if they dont know or like it.
Bit like Pavlov's dogs....

Best bet for the sois would be a hot pot selection of various tunes across the board, at least this way you can please all of the people, some of the time.

Anyone who's been there more than once knows why the girls are there - to get money, and if they're real lucky, as they see it, a rich husband.

If it wasn't for the money thing, 98% of the girls (and gays, and ladyboys) would probably be dancing with people their own age, listening to local music.

Methinks that if the music being played was driving away customers, the music would change immediately. Or, if the music seemed to attract more people, it wouldn't change. Isn't that the bottom line - to attract more customers, and have more sales?
