Music in Soi Eric

i think it may also be a difference if you're on a 2-3 week vacation or if you live there and go there a couple of times a week.

for me i dont notice the music too much and like others said if i dont like a song it goes in one ear and out the other... i like when the music isnt too loud so you can understand what other people are saying.

I also think the volume plays an important role, as some have stated, it would be very difficult to play tunes and please everybody. However playing too laud will make music you don't like even more unbearable. And even if you like some of the songs it'll be perhaps annoying if you can't hear anything else.

Must say, I never noticed the music in the times I spent at MTB. Had a bit to do with both the shooters, beer and absolutely besotted by Nam. And that was while my wife was with me. :rofl:

We changed DJ many times during the last 9 months, the reason they quit is what I heard, Eric want to control what they play and thus, unhuppy, quit.

IMHO the music was very good low season last year until that DJ quit. On the other hand, some customers like the music and says its relaxing. The problem with music is you cant please everyone.

As for myself, I would like to hear more Euro pop/disco and trance/techno music, but a big group of the guys in the bar is 40-60 and like different music.

If the moaners then start playing Belgian Acid house flippity flop funk reggae garage underground parking R&B Drum and Bass by some self important unknown to all pimply French teenage DJ with his baseball cap on back to front then I will be down there sharpish with a very hard finger to the chest to politely tell you where to stick your music as you exit through the very small DJ window!

That's right Nicke. You cant please everyone, but you must agree the last couple of years the DJ played the same music day by day. including the birthday song at 12 o clock { but I think that is traditional }

Mashups and Bastrad pop.

I used to live just up the road from where the 2 belgian brothers (the Funking Dawealie Bros AKA 2ManyDJs) were.. They were the first real mashup / bastrad pop pioneers that made any success.. Used to run a sunday night club (hard for monday starts !!) that was always very very 'eclectic' sounds..
