Being a newbie to this board and also having never been to Phuket, I must say I was taken aback at the figure of 500 for a beer in a club. As I am an old timer as far as travelling to LOS is concerned I have never heard of such high prices being charged except in the rip off joints upstairs in Patpong.

If this is typical of the price range in Phuket I will definately rethink about Phuket as my next destination. One thing is sure if anything in these posts is the truth I will give both these bars a wide berth should I go to Phuket.

Why not get the various bars to publish their drinks charges on the board then their clients will know what to expect.

Back on track a little, if you are going to a gogo bar then you expect to pay more for the beer because of the entertainment. However having been to Suzie Wongs on a few occasions, I have never been bothered by touts, however have not been overly impressed by the quality of the girls either (old, plump/fat, or just average) or the fact that they are continually asking for drinks.

As for Crazy Girls, I often end up at Tums bar in the early hours of the morning, singing a song or two, and have watched the comings and goings at Crazy Girls. I have to report that I have actually seen the touts escorting punters into the place, and I have also witnessed the touts sharing the spoils of their endeavours. Coming out of the place with a handful of cash and sharing it out amongst a few of the others -- -- maybe a pooling
arrangement??

Beers in gogos are generally 120 - 140 baht. You were taken in by a tout or one went in ahead of you and claimed to have taken you in. Suggest you use the Search Function and enter "tout".

Surely if you are going to post something derogatory about a place or a person, you should at least be fairly certain your facts are correct shouldn't you?? 500,000 people look at this site per week, so its okay to provide them with incorrect, unsubstantiated information, maybe about a persons business, maybe that has an adverse affect on that persons business, still okay?

Just thought I would add my views.

I visited Crazy Girls earlier this year with 2 other friends.

we ordered 3 bottled beers and were charged over 600 bht EACH .

When we queried the ammount we were told that was only the charge for our first drink and that our next drinks would be cheaper !! The excess charges were apparently because a tout had escorted us in, although i,m not sure how they got that impression.

Rather than cause an argument we paid, had our drinks and left. I will never set foot in that place again. GUARANTEED.

I owe "Raw" an apology because the bar next to Tums Bar is in fact "Spicy Girls" and not "Crazy Girls", so I was mistaken with the above post and I sincerely apologise to Raw and anyone whom I misled with this honest mistake.

Raw was kind enough to let me know by a PM that I was "stupid, and another liar or blind ass giving wrong information", so I also apologised to him via a PM, despite his delightful turn of phrase.

i think that 130B is about average for those go go's down sea dragon,
but if a tout claims 1st drink (takes u in ) it's 400B or maybe a bit more , then it's 130b after 1st drink
