i have a question.

i went to a few go-go's never with the guys out on bangala road trying to get you inside. But the guys standing out the front of these clubs if they go in with you do you some times still get the higher prices?

i didnt have a problem i never got charged more than 120 baht a drink. i saw one guy had a drinks list with different prices on it. dont know who bought him in but i think he was to wasted to care.

Martynd, are you absolutely sure you was in Suzie Wongs?? I ask because Raw does not allow the touts access to SW's which makes your story slightly unbelievable.

Gentlemen I have visited SW's on so many occasions I wouldn't like to guess how many and I have never been over charged at 500 or 600 bht per drink, I have never seen touts associated to the club.

If you cannot 100% confirm these stories as being correct I will delete them from this thread within 24 hours, as you should be aware that these sort of unsubstantiated accusations can seriously affect a persons livlihood.

Jeffrey, there is a simple way to cover your asre. Put up a poster in the entrance to CG and SW that customers can't miss seeing on the way in...maybe one in the toilets too...telling them what to do if they believe they are being overcharged. Not only will it give the customers peace of mind it will also deter any of your staff from trying any price gouging. Get more drinks price lists printed too so customers shouldn't have a problem knowing what prices they should be paying.

Went out last night, and being at a bit of a loose end because I was unable to find a mate of mine, I decided to try the gogo bars mentioned in the thread.

Crazy Girls was okay, however the girls although being clad scantily but smart, were a little bit on the "plump" side for me. So then I tried Suzy Wongs, and what a difference from the times when I visited before. The girls were slimmer, sexier and at least one of them was absolutely delightful (20 years old and with a body to die for), and the show she put on with another lady involving body lotion was sueforum.xxx.

There was also a good atmosphere, and quite a few farangs turned up around midnight to keep the place humming.

So Suzy Wongs will be on my list of bars to take friends to when they arrive here from overseas, and maybe the occasional visit from yours truly when wandering aimlessly around at night.

I think Raw has a point, so far we've heard of a 'friend of a friend' story and a completely wrong account of the wrong place. Firstly he has a right to be able to defend himself, Secondly I think if people are going to bad mouth and name a place (which I have no problem with) they should at least a)have witnessed it themselves or b)got the correct place.

PhillNZ - I assume you have asked the moderators to remove your honest mistake?

Part of this is that we are all able to hide behind usernames, whereas places in real life are not, this means people are much more confident in posting things because there isn't really much comeback.

Imagine if we all used our real names, and someone posted (incorrectly) that they saw you coming out of the gay soi arm in arm with two queer Thai boys.

Even an incorrect post causes damage, even if apologised for. Most people tend to think there's no smoke without fire etc...

Went to Show Girls first year in Phuket (2007) but had one of the owners of Octopus Bar take us across and introduce us (hence avoid the touts) and had a great couple of nights

Definitely will check out SW when back up in Phuket as both my father-in-law and me enjoyed the SG experience and it sounds like this is considerably better setup (especially the music at a level that you can hear each other)

I have sent a bunch of newbies to SW's and have only had good feedback. I inform them of the tout situation and first drink scam and tell them head down the back on the right and the drink prices are on the sign board. Not had one person say they have had anyone in the place try it on.

I agree that people are intitled to be critical if they have some real facts but the friend of mine or friend of a friend of mine is at best questionable. I agree that you should relax a little RAW over the posts but don't let them mute your say on here if you feel the forum is of value to you business or yourself.
