Heinieken you're looking at A$60 on special. A$50 on special for a quality local brew like Little Creatures or Coopers*.

A$8 starting for a pint of Stella or a decent local beer (not VB), not unusual to get them at A$8.50 or A$9. In Northbridge (entertainment district in Perth) a bottle of Corona can go as high as A$11 ea. This can be off set a little, at my local bowling club a bottle of Little Creatures Pale can be had for A$3.50 for members. Also the bowling club has standards, so not everyone can get in.

*may be stretching the definition of quality.

i didn't see anything that suited me but i had an absolute ball and it was really fun with the rubber hoses/bats

also value for money tends not to be available in tourist traps

if you want '3rd world' prices they are easily obtainable in phuket / LOS but you might not enjoy those bars

MJWX, this is clearly misleading.........Then again, you're not in suburban Sydney or Melb.
I hear what you're saying......you walk into a bottle-o & you'll be charged $15 for a 6 pack....Doubt that'd be VB, prolly some yuppie boutique brand?
You can buy VB or Tooheys for $35 a carton here....it does fluctuate +/- a few dollars.

The girl who does the ping-pong show etc is generally a bit of an old minger, as in all go-gos I have been in. (If it still happens!)

But the girls tend to be a bit better quality than the other places on seadragon (apart from cashier at another bar, who IMHO is a bit of a hotty!). But then beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I have been to bars with other bm's because there is a girl there who they think is really nice, who yet I have found very average. (You know who you are...... )

In all things where personal prefrence is involved, be it girls, bars, hotels, service or even beer, then you cant please everyone 100% of the time.

But it does get you thinking... that a "society" exists like this where all the things we find morally repulsive are deemed "normal"... because they have been cut off from the outside world they have then developed their own culture and values... so who are we to say it is wrong just because we believe it is wrong in our society?

Have'nt been to creazy girls but have been to Suzi Wong's on many occasions and like many have had a blast... Always take newbies there the first night they arrive and they have the time of their life and are on the phone to their mates the following morning explaining all that happened in there......

Also, have never been over charged for drinks and we always spend a few thousand when we were there....

The 500bht figure is when a tout tries to rip you off/claim you as a customer.....so whatever you do don't let anybody nearby lead you or follow you into a gogo in Patong

Thanks- I must say I have never come across this tout experience, save in Bangkok outside clubs, it must more prevalent in Patong than elsewhere. I have never come across it in Pattaya.

Have never had anything but great treatment at Suzies and its really the only Go Go I frequent....the prices have always been reasonable and the girls rarely ask for anything.
The only and best time I had at Crazy Girls was when SWs was being renovated, double the girls was real fun.
Hang in there Raw...you know that in business you cant ever rest on your laurels and the crap dont end till you sell it.....

Perth mate, average prices, not misleading at all. $19 for a 6 pack of Little Creatures or Beez Neez, $18 for Coopers, $16 for Hahn Premium, one of these is normally what I walk out of the store with.

If I go to Dan Browns in Malaga I can get up to $10 of a carton, but not having a car makes that difficult so I end up paying what ever the local Liquorland is charging. Thinking of restarting the old home brewery.

Cascade Light is a low alcohol beer (2.6%). They are relatively cheap $30-40 a carton.

For whatever it's worth, my friend who went there goes often whenever he's in Patong. He's always gone there, always had fun there, and always liked the place.

I can't say for sure if it was a bartender or doorman or whoever that he had words with. He said he went inside, asked the price of a beer, and was told ฿500. And when he got up to leave words were exchanged. He said (and I asked him) that no touts brought him to the door. It doesn't matter to me either way, I haven't been there in years. There's no reason that he would make up this story to tell me (I trust his word 100%), and I have no reason to make up the story either.
