How dare you! i'm not gay i'm only gay4pay
I would expect there to be an attempt at balance of course but to suggest this forum, any forum or anywhere on the internet is a place only for facts is very wide of the mark
even 'newsbot' doesn't post facts - its posts are all hearsay anyway and more importantly it links
thai media stories
this forum is a very useful and enjoyable resource for anyone interested in its content and without any hearsay, rumours, opinions, irony, sarcasm, flippancy etc would be useless and boring
do you honestly believe this forum only contains facts and first hand unprejudiced accounts?
people can make up their own mind on the weight they attach to things and i personally never log on to the net without a large tub of salt readily at hand
balance, sensible rules and sensible moderation are important - a mindless reader of another popular forum would think there are no prostitutes in thailand
i would not expect this forum to blindly allow libel for the sake of it but limiting ourselves to referencable facts and first hand experiences won't give much 'phuket info' and certainly does not avoid libel anyway
posts stating first hand experiences can themselves be inaccurate or downright lies - the forum approach allows any BM to counter another and someone who believes everything they read can't be protected from themselves anyway
avoiding derogatory posts (about anyone, or about anyone the mods like and or fear) is no good either - you would then have a situation where someone uses a business or whatever because they have 'only read good things' about them and may well be disappointed by the experience - what value would they then place on anything in this forum?
mods operating an even hand is important but intervention can become merely preserving the 'party line'?
in relation to suzy wongs the weight of posts in this and other threads would
suggest to a reasonable reader that it does not operate touts, rip offs or scams - and thats the most this forum can do as regards 'facts'
