JMO, BGs are often nothing but a hassle. and pulling stunts like the OP and i stated, are just 1 of many things which go can wrong. being pressurized to sit at X bar then stay at X bar and buy her X amount of drinks before she'll leave and buy her friends and co-workers X amount of drinks and ring the bell X amount of times. expensive, when you can get a hotter girl in the club who is much more independent and if she's not interested, she's not interested, no messing around wasting time buying dozens of LD's. MTB is excluded of course as its more like a local pub (with the added luxury of the girls), so i'll always go there. but none of the others anymore. as i said there are pos' and neg' with both, but i think there are more neg's with the BGs overal, and once you know the score then you don't need to worry about the neg's with the FL if you've covered your basis properly and don't have a bad read on people (who might turn out to be nutters)

whilst they can be a bit hard faced there never had a problem personally

No problem at all. lets be fair though not everyone thinks of these things at half past 3 in the morning with a belly full of beer. Also not everyone is worldly wise. The kind of guy that doesn't establish what he is getting for how much with a bargirl before leaving is cherry ripe to be worked over by a dishonest freelancer. Not all bar girls play games especially if you let them know the score early in the conversation. Not all freelancers are dishonest either. My point is just that if you are new or not particularly worldly then Bar girls are a safer option.

well sorry to say.... but its your own fault...

the barfine is because you make the girl stop work...nothing else and you DID take them out of the bar... so imho you cannot blame the bar,only your self.

If the girl had said yes to go with you to the hotel and have sex, you could have feel disapointed for a good reason, and then the most bars would refund your barfine, but you told them only that you would take them for dinner, and that makes it a diff. story in my eyes....

maybe she had her mens and did not want to talk about. seemed right for her to get the bar some money for the drinks and she enjoyed the meal.
besides that some girls are happy to earn some hundred baht for drinks a day and not have to carry the weight of a falang for the whole night.
